It’s been a little while since we’ve last published something new on the blog, but for good reason! I sent out a stack of our wedding invitations to be photographed by local photographers. If you follow us on Instagram, you may have heard me share a bit about how photographing the stationery I design is one of the tasks I dread most. Unfortunately, that meant that many of the designs we worked on last year were never featured on the blog! All of that is about to change as I’ll be here sharing a new suite once or twice a month now that we have beautifully styled photos.
Today, I’m sharing a stunning suite full of rich foliage and muted grays. Allowing the natural and organic feel of the greenery to stand out meant pulling back on adding in any other busy elements. A simple watercolor envelope liner and beautiful type on the envelopes created the perfect balance of interest and simplicity. A classic font added a touch of tradition. I used that same font to create a logo of the first two letters of the bride and groom’s name then incorporated it in several places – can you spot them?
I can’t wait to dive in and share some of the inspiration and even some technical details on the why and how behind some of the designs – I hope you’ll follow along.
Special thanks to our friend Alex Good for these photos!
