In September we took a leap of faith on a concept we had been dreaming up for months. We wanted to introduce a home design workshop that combined our love interior design, DIY and plant care. It’s true that a house is made all the more beautiful when there are happy thriving plants in it right? Today we’re sharing a look into how the day unfolded at the beautiful new Form Fine Goods retail space in Walker’s Point. A special thanks to Better Together Photography for the beautiful photos and Mollica Film Co for capturing our day on video.

The Workshop Experience.. and an exciting announcement below!
Guests were greeted with a custom ‘Plant Mom’ tote that included special gifts from some of our favorite local makers including soap: Oil and Ash / greeting card: The Busy Bee / table runner: Mrs. Freund & Co /preserves: Quince and Apple and a craft cocktail mixed up by Top Note Tonics!
The first section of the workshop included a guided leather hanging planter DIY from Jenni of I Spy DIY. Students learned leather working skills and macrame so they could go home and hang their creations! Then Beth of Form Fine Goods led students through her handy plant care guide. We’ve had black thumbs for way too long and we couldn’t wait to learn all we could about keeping our little green friends happy and healthy in our home. She helped students select the perfect plant for their home and even showed them how to properly pot it. Lastly, Jenni walked students through her process when designing a space. From her bookshelf formula for creating the perfect vignette all the way to showing guests how to expertly layer rugs to define a space, everyone walked away with simple steps to go home and apply what they learned to their own spaces!
