Milwaukee is changing.
What used to be thought as a ‘fly over state’ by many, is now becoming a sought after destination for creative women entrepreneurs and small business owners. A Midwest work ethic paired with a supportive community of like-minded ladies makes our city a worth while destination for dreaming big and taking a chance on your dream.
It was for these reasons I decided to launch Trailblazer: Women in Business Summit. This event is a passion project of mine. I feel every woman, whether she’s in high school or she’s been stuck in a corporate job for years, deserves to know that she is fully capable of chasing her dreams and creating a future she absolutely adores. To make sure this hit home for every guest, I wanted to shine a spotlight on Wisconsin based companies that are making a big impact on a national scale.
At Trailblazer, we welcomed two outstanding and inspirational companies. Elizabeth Rees, owner of Milwaukee based Chasing Paper, and Patti Kelly, director of Public Relations for Kendra Scott (Kendra grew up in Kenosha).
Guests had the opportunity to mix and mingle beforehand while they sipped on champagne from Pour Inc and listened to great music provided by Sound by Design. We had an amazing swag bag stuffed with goodies from some of our favorite brands too.
